How does it work?
The first step towards Online Coaching is the initial consultation, this is to ensure that it is the right option for you and that I can help you achieve your goals. The consultation can be accomplished through either call (voice or video) or text (e-mail, messenger) to discuss your goals, exercise history, injuries, etc.
Online Coaching relies heavily on mobile technology, you will be using your phone on a daily basis to record workouts, food intake, daily activity and more. If you're not very tech savvy it may take a little getting used to, but after a week or so it should become second nature and you'll be asking yourself how you managed without it!
Upon signing up for Online Coaching, you will receive your Welcome Pack via email which explains the processes in much more detail but here's a quick summary:
You training program is custom made and delivered via Trainerize, a mobile app that allows you to schedule and record your workout progress. Your program will include instructional videos for each exercise to ensure you are training correctly and safely.
Nutritional guidance is based on calorie and macronutrient recommendations relevant to your goal. I suggest using MyFitnessPal to track your calorie intake. I can also provide deliciously healthy recipes to make your meal planning go smoothly!
Your progress will be measured based on your goals. There are various ways to track progress, some examples are body-weight, girth measurements, progress photos and fitness tests. You will be responsible for measuring your progress and submitting the results.
Depending on the level of service you choose, I will be checking in with you on a regular basis to discuss how you are progressing, any obstacles you might be facing and answering any questions you may have.
Your feedback is essential to the success of your program. In order for you to achieve the best possible results, I need to provide a plan that is best suited for YOU, I need to make adjustments to the program as necessary and I can't do that without your communication and co-operation. Your program may not be perfect from the start, there will likely be some trial and error involved but be patient and trust in the process until we find what works best for you as an individual.
